 | Romania Reviews | Tips 31 - 40 of 131 | | The hostel is great, the host is Monika a really nice and beautiful girl who gives everything to make this hostel a great place. For once the LP is right, the breakfast they cook for you is worth dying for, the rooms are very clean and the beds are good and the price was ok as well.
The host was extraordinary. Leave a Comment Theme: HostelPrice: less than US$20 » Currency ConverterComparison: less expensive than averageAddress: 195 Aurel Vlaicu StreetDirections: approx. 1 km from the train stationWebsite: www.classhostel.ro

I would recommend this guesthouse for it's beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful management, great hospitality and close proximity to Sibiu and all points around. Doina Cioran cooked for us our first traditional Romanian fare with snitzel, which we discovered was much like chicken fried steak, and polenta. I have to admit, I'm not a polenta fan, but my husband certainly enjoyed the liquid fire the Romanian people enjoy before dinner.
It's quiet, perfect for a traveling couple who don't want to stay in a place filled with children or young travelers who like to party. Rasinari does have a "disco" and it was pretty cool to watch from its window a trail of cows just walking down the cobblestone streets at dusk. Heading toward home, I guess. Doina also washed our road-wearing clothes for us and hung them up in the courtyard to dry. Sirnea village is situated in the centre of Romania, Brasov county, 30 kms. away from Brasov city, in the Meridional Carpathians at 1.200 m. altitude. Sirnea is considered the first tourist village in Romania. It is an old settlement of shepherds from where one can easily reach the summit of Piatra Craiului, the Bucegi and Leaota Massifs, Campulung Muscel, the Precipices of Zarnesti, Rasnov, Bran, and Dambovicioara Gorges. The Village Museum of an ethnographic profile, seasonal folk festivals ("Winter in Sirnea"- the last but one Saturday in January; " The Measure of Milk"- the last Sunday in June), the picturesque landscapes make Sirnea a tourist village for all seasons.
The complex offers: - plenty of rooms and also one separate luxury apartment (nice kitchen) ;) - nice restaurant (good food) - tennis - fishing - hiking and cave exploring - other trips arround - OSTRICH watching (and ostrich specialities in the restaurant) Leave a Comment

This is an overpriced two star hotel for Romania (for a hotel outside Bucharest). It charges 60Euros for a double room with private bathroom and TV (with plenty of stations to choose from), and breakfast is included. Our room was quite large, especially compared to hotel rooms you get in Western Europe. The hotel is quite nice, and clean and is strategically placed near the main street of Brasov, leading to the centre. I would definitely recommend this place. Nearby the Hotel Coroana is the one star Hotel Postavarul, which offers much cheaper rooms, but with no private bathroom. Cheile Gradistei complex is situated in the center of Romania, in the Carpathian mountains, some 180km from the capital Bucharest and it offers a relaxing vacation to any tourist.
The complex contains: - 1 hotel (big rooms and a lobby for each floor) - three villas (each with rooms and one separate aparment) - restaurant (all wood and superb food - people come here at lunch from all over distances) - two tennis courts - conference hall (aprox.120 persons) Leave a Comment Theme: HotelPrice: US$20-40 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averageDirections: Bucharest-Targoviste-Campulung-Moeciu-Cheile Gradistei Bucharest-Pitesti-Campulung-Moeciu-Cheile Gradistei Bucharest-Ploiesti-Brasov-Bran-Moeciu-Cheile Gradistei

Despite the fact that it is not as large (and nor it is desperately crying for restoration) as the nearby imposing Dacia Hotel, this is a charming, inviting place, with a fine restaurant and friendly staff, a good introduction to the relaxed atmosphere in Satu Mare. This small hotel hosted by an old, emblematic for Sibiu building, provides possibly the best place to stay in the city centre. Without being overdecorated, it has a charm that will almost make you forget that you are in the very centre.
Its being small, quiet, friendly and its lacking the much ado about nothing at the shabby (i.e. badly restored and with disrespectful staff) Imparatul Romanilor make this place my recommended stay in Sibiu.
