Located in a back street from the central square, the Fullton has different rooms, of which the ones on the top floor are the largest (you might consider the standard ones to be too small). The colour scheme is rather interesting. Their cafe is tastefully decorated, while the night owls will find the club inviting... A fine, family run hotel that brings a corner of Italy in Timisoara, the La Residenza also shows the German origin of the family running it. Nothing has escaped them, no detail and no trace of dust. Everything is in its place, nothing is either too big or too little.
Close to the city centre, the hotel has a lovely back garden and a nice veranda that can be used for breakfast or just a cup of coffee in summer. These two are old houses in Sighisoara and Brasov, taken over by a Dutch man, entirely renovated, tastefully furnished with old pieces, and providing a warm, great service.
Both of them can provide a fine way of approaching this part of Transylvania, especially as they are both greatly located in the central Council Square of Brasov, respectively in the fortress in Sighisoara. This is a charming place hosted in a monumental building. Even though rooms have been overdone sometimes (colours being rather strong in some rooms), it is still a great place to stay, including its location.
It is hosted in a former palace built in 'fin de siecle' architecture, with Baroque elements. The hotel has been greatly restored, and it is now Oradea's best place to stay (actually competing only with Timisoara's La Residenza or Casa del Sole, respectively Satu Mare's Vila Bodi in Western Romania).
