what I did that to take the sleeper from bucharest to budapest [60$] and retern to oradea by taxi servic [15$] and from oradea to bucharest by sleeper [18$], it was two years ego.

I can't found price for budapest bucharest, you can look at this web:

but at the romanian train web I see that brasov - budapest cost 50 euro for round trip class 2 and extra 15.4 euro for T3[BED], 23.1 EURO T2[BED] ,

you can see the romanian train offer:

all the best

the trip was grait, I always choose second class sleepre, from one hand not expensiv as first class and from another hand very comfie, jsat 3 person, each one have night-light and also switch to the centeral light.
also safe because you have a locking from inside.

all the best

Travel Tips for Brasov

Fa├žade with works of art

by Fam.Rauca

It is a pleasure and a great experience to go in the inside of an art museum, where you have the possibility to admire a lot of art works, but to see these art pieces on the external walls of the buildings, in the middle of the city, it is a extraordinary privilege.

Many edifices of Brasov are real collections of pictures and sculptures.

Drive through Prahova and Transylania

by DSwede

Similar to what I did in Sighisoara, I took several days to drive the mountains of Transylvania and northern Prahova. In ~October, the changing of the trees is beautiful.

Watch out for livestock on the streets.

There are two main bus stations in Brasov for buses (and maxitaxis) out of the city. There are two key stations located quite close to each other: Autogara 1 and 2.

Autogara 1

This mostly serves the long distance buses, to places like Bucharest and Sibiu. It's next to the train station and can be reached by bus 4 from Piata Unirii or the city centre.

Autogara 2

This is mostly for local traffic, to destinations closer to home like Rasnov and Bran. It's about a kilometer west of the train station. It can be reached by bus 12 from the city centre.

Ciorba de burta

by morgul about Roata Norocului

This restaurant is famous in town for it's Ciorba de burta. It is a soup made out of cow stomach. You should eat it with sour cream and red hot chilli peppers.
The restaurant is not so special but Ciorba de burte is fantastic.

Bran Castle

by paradisedreamer

Bran Castle was originally a fortress built by the Knights of the Teutonic Order in 1212. Later on, towards the end of the 13th century, it was taken over by the Saxons in that region in order to protect the City of Brasov, an important trade centre.
Dracula was the Wallachia (Medieval Romania) king. His historical name was Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler). He was very cruel, especially with thieves and enemies. The condemned were impaled on the tip of a tall spike (3 meters long), vertically fixed on the ground. The death was produced by the loss of the blood. Yet among his countrymen he is something of a folk hero, renowned for standing up to the Turks and Wallachia's noble families.
