Peles Castle, Sinaia
by midnight_mike
Sinaia, about an hour south of Brasov, is home to Peles Castle. The castle (pronounced Pelesh) was built in the late 19th century under the direction of King Carol I. Its design was influenced by the German Renaissance, but there are several themed rooms including a Turkish room, a French room and a Florentine room. There are frequent tours throughout the day. The gardens, combined with the panoramic view of the surrounding forests, are simply amazing. There is a smaller castle nearby, built in the same style. When you are there, you will also want to stop by the monastery. You will see it as you walk up the hill from the train station to Peles castle. Sinaia has many hotel and restaurant options. It is awfully quiet at night, so you might want to stay in Brasov.
No, we cannot fly

Brasov has no airport yet. The nearest airports for the international traffic are the International Airport Otopeni - Bucharest (168 km far from Brasov) and the one in Sibiu (142 km far from Brasov). In Brasov almost all travel agencies sell and book plane tickets for major air companies.
Brasov- Millennium-the best choice!
by adema29 about Millennium
We have dinned in this restaurant many times and we assure you that we have never been disappointed.
Very good food, very good service, nice and intimate atmosphere.
We have to add that we are still going to this restaurant with pleasure and, after such a long time eating there is even better. All of the waiters know us and this make as feel "at home" in Millenium.
Ecaterina's Gate
by floriangn
My friend told me that she had to gasp for air when she saw this wonderful gate, with its slim towers. It is placed at the southeast side of the Medieval Fortress of Brasov, and was constructed in the year 1559, as one of the entrances into the fortress.
This medieval constructions has remained almost intact, in the original form.
