Best accomodation in town: Hotel Albatros (a.k.a. Pod 4)

Not quite in town, but around 4 km outside, on the Danube shores. i stayed there for a whole summer month back in 2002, and enjoyed the solitude of the evening swims in the Danube.
Beds are excellent, not to mention the huge mirrors attached to the ceiling above the beds. Girls in Calarasi can be firendly, so solitude in bed was not always the case.

The Hotel has been recently flooded by the Danube (april; 2006), so check in advance
