I am thinking of visiting Constanta in June. Can you tell me please:
1. will it be very crowded?
2. Is it expensive, compared with London?
3. Langauage: I speak English and very basic amoount of Russian..Do many people speak good English?
4. Are the beaches and sea clean for swimming in?
5. What is the average temperature?
6. Can I travel there by coach from Istanbul.

I can only help with question 6.
http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/go/Istanbul/Transport/bus_ist_sofia.html
suggests that Ozlem Tur runs some buses between Istanbul and Constanta. It seems that the company has no website, so either call them or check locally.
If there are no direct buses, you can take the daily night buses to Varna at the price of about 20 euro. From there you have four weekly connections to Constanta on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 2pm. They are operated by Alba Service and go all the way to Odesa, so the bus might be labeled "Odesa". Tickets are also sold by some local agents in Varna, but inquire locally. I expect a price of about 20 euro again for some 4 hours of traveling.
Hope this helps

It is expensive just an example beer is three times the price it is in the North of Romania and twice as expensive as in most of the larger cities. Accomodation is negotiable with the people who hang around renting rooms so might not cost the earth, but expect to pay for the privelege of staying here. Down the coast there are equaly as nice beaches but not so developed.

Travel Tips for Constanta
There's more to discover in the city...
by aurorian
Walk around the whole city and take in all it has to offer. There are a lot of museums and and monuments to visit... very interesting... also, walk on the seashore and definetly walk around the old city and visit the Mosque and casino... A lot of beautiful parks too. The fondest memory I have is the friendly people... especially the friendly girls...
Packing List
by Dalevd
take empty duffel bags for the souveniors you might want to buy since the exchange rate is so good. Walking shoes for sure. Rain coat. then typical warm weather clothes.
In the discos it is retro 70's style usually. Bug spray!!! Make sure you take basic things so you don't run out such as toothpaste, tampons, contact solutions, etc.
Historical and archeological museum
by mirchica
In the beginning the museum was used as the town hall of Constanta. Later, in 1977 it was turned into museum. You need to spend more time looking around its exhibitions from the area history but it worth.
History for kids ( Navy Museum )
by timada
Everybody knows that our children don't like to read and learn ! I understand them because I stay very much time on computer just like them ... but when you show them the "reality" they can learn better and even enjoy that .
So there is a place in this museum that I love a lot : a special designed , versatile ship named " panzar moldovenesc " able both to fight and to trade goods from Istanbul , and even farther , in the Egeea and Mediteranean Sea , to Crete . The Moldavian people , under Stephan the Great , controlling for a long time the western seashore of the Black Sea , with the strategic fortress Chilia and Cetatea Alba , has involved in maritime trades .
In that room you can see also a lot of navy knot and the small scale copy of Cetatea Alba fortress .
Casa cu lei (The House with Lions)
by Fam.Rauca
The house was built in the year 1897 in Pre Romantic Genovese style.
It was called after the columns that have four lions on them.
The edifice, situated on the Nicolae Titulescu Street, was renovated in the seventeen years.
The house functioned as restaurant, for a time period of many years, but now, it is closed for a restoration.
