In Sinaia you have a choice between virtually free camping, private rooms at around 5-10 GBP per night, and 2-4 star hotels. The hotel Cerbul (previously pensiune parc) is my favorite-the rooms are modern and comfortable, and about the cheapest hotel rooms in town. The hotel Caraiman is noisy and not particularly special, despite relatively high prices. The Palace hotel is nice for a bit of luxury, but prices have gone up since I last stayed there.

Unique Quality: Accomodation is generally easy to find, apart from over the xmas/new year period. If you get really stuck and don't want to stay in a private house, try the tourist agency on the main street, near to the turn off for the cable car. They usually have an apartment for rent, a cheap option if there are a lot of you as you are charged for the apartment , not per person.

If you get really stuck and don't want to stay in a private house, try the tourist agency on the main street, near to the turn off for the cable car. They usually have an apartment for rent, a cheap option if there are a lot of you as you are charged for the apartment , not per person.
