Visit the Evangelic Church...
by Fam_Stoica
Visit the Evangelic Church (located in the Huet Square). Built in the Gothic style, it was first mentioned in 1371. The tower (73m high) was built at the end of the XIVth century and the church was finally completed in 1520.It was the burial place for the Sibiu city mayors and other personalities. From 1796 burials were forbidden, the only exception being the burial of Samuel von Brukenthal in 1803.

The opened air Village Museum Astra - is a MUST !
by Petruta
In your visit here, in Sibiu, there are few MUSTs. One of them is this opened air Museum, like no other in Romania - valued of being one of the best in the WORLD (Bucharest has a big one too, but you'll find this one more beautiful).
The costs of entrance are normal. You must also pay for parking and for the photo/video camera (you need to take photos ! )
Inside you can find a place to rest, have a drink in the opened air close by the lake. Or go for lunch to the restaurant located inside the museum.
Climb in the Council Tower
by Petruta
For a very nice view over the city, go and climb in the Council Tower, from the Piata Mica side.
There will be around 5 floors and at every floor you can see paintings with Sibiu, made by local artists.
You have to pay a very symbolic sum: 2 lei ( around 50 eurocents).
City Wall
by codrutz
One thing that I like about Sibiu is its former defence wall. I like to walk on the street below the wall or on them. The third fortification wall was built in 14th century was consolidated in the 17th century. There can be seen the Arquebusier Tower (15th century), Potter Tower (15th century) and Carpenter Tower (15th century).
They were all fitted for using firearms and holes had been made in the walls for throwing the tar.
