Easily became a favourite

The Casa Ioana guesthouse was not my first choice, but, as we book only started searching for accommodation 2-3 days before the International Theatre Festival, it was impossible to fnd rooms in the horstels/hotels in the City Center. And that was our luck (nope, I'm not sarcastic!)

This guesthouse is situated 5-10 min away from the Old City Center, in a quiet and safe area (next to the German Consulate), surrounded by big old mansions.

We took a room for 3 persons and it was huge. The extra bed was for two persons. The room was one of the biggest I've ever seen (for accommodation in this range), very clean and with a matching big bathroom. The shower cabin is, again, very big, so you won't be hitting the wall while rubbing your back. :)

Breakfast includes: tea, coffee, fresh juice, fruits, vegetables, cheese, ham, omlette.

Prices: We paid Ron 70/person/night (approximately EUR 17.5). The usual prices are:
Single room: RON 160
Double room for single use: RON 190
Double: RON 210
Apartment: RON 290

Unique Quality: My favourite part was the library at the 1st floor. The owner was telling us it used to be bigger but some tourists couldn't help not stealing books.. What a shame! So, if you want to give your hosts a surprise, do what we did: offer them a book to enrich the collection.

Another favourite was the terrace and the back yard where you can enjoy your breakfast or a glass of white wine later in the evening.
