Hidden gem hotel in Sibiu
Hotel Roberts is a brand new boutique hotel in Sibiu, Romania about 10 minutes walk from the city center (the Nicolae Balcescu pedestrian street and the Piata Mare).
The hotel is family owned and run by the young Roberts couple. Sean Roberts is a Long Island, New York native who met and married his beautiful wife - a Sibiu native - in New York.
They moved to Sibiu 5 years ago and invested all their savings in this beautiful hotel.
We - my wife and I, our daughter and our 18 months old grandson - stayed in the hotel for 2 nights on October 9 and 10, 2009 and occupied 2 rooms. We received also a crib for the grandson. The hotel is extremely clean, the rooms are spacious, the beds very confortable, the breakfast buffet very generous with some of the food freshly cooked on order.
The location is excellent at 10 minutes walk or 2 minutes $1.5 taxy ride from the city historic center. In the same time it is located in a very quiet residential area.
The prices are very reasonable and worth the value of services received.
We will definitely stay there any time we come back to Sibiu (about twice/year) and we recommended this hotel to all our friends and relatives in USA, Canada, Europe, Israel and Romania.
