Man with a sickle?
by Dabs
When driving through the rural areas of Romania, seeing a man carrying a sickle or other farming implement became a quite common sight but I was a little surprised when I saw this guy walking down the street in Sibiu with a sickle over his shoulder. Notice that I'm on the other side of the street :-)

Castle of Cisnadiora
by MiguelPS2112
This place is like if taken out of a tale story. You will find yourself lost in time, back to the medieval times. Go by car and leave it parked in any path that you see and walk to the castle, you will have to ask for when its open.
Biserica Evanghelica (Evangelic Church)
by Fam_Stoica
Built in Gothic style, the Evangelic Church was first mentioned in 1371 and finally completed in 1520. The tower (73m high) was built at the end of the XIVth century.
The church was the burial place for the Sibiu city mayors and other personalities. From 1796 burials were forbidden, the only exception being the burial of Samuel von Brukenthal in 1803.
Evanghelical Cathedral

The Evangelical Cathedral in Sibiu is also one of the must see monuments in Sibiu. It is not just a nice big church, it is also the highest place from which you can see the old town, that is if you ask to be guided to the top of the roof. Here in this church beautiful concerts are being held. The evangelical church has the biggest organ in southeastern Europe - the baroque organ was designed by the a German master in 1671 - six thousand pipes were installed in1914. And as you can see from my picture, the inside of the church looks fantastic. The impressive cathedral was built in 1520 on the place of an old Romanic basilica from the 12th century. The church is also a burial place for many personalities of Sibiu. There are in total 67 gravestones. In front of the cathedral the statue of Georg Daniel Teutsch, Bishop of Sibiu, erected in 1899.
