Hotel Carpati

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 28, 2007

The hotel Carpati is one of the few budget hotels in Bucharest. Don’t make your reservation with the online form or email as it doesn’t work, neither are the prices on the website up to date. Just phone them up.

The hotel has for different room prices (Oct. 07):
Singles/Doubles with shared facilities are 118 RON/160 RON
Doubles with bathroom are 220 RON
Suites are 260 RON

Breakfast is included in the price. You can choose from about 4 different breakfast menus.

We had a suite as the doubles with toilet were fully booked. Our suite was fully renovated. I got a second duvet upon request. There is plenty of water pressure for the shower, but inconveniently there was no shower curtain. There was a little fridge.

I was very happy with the hotel and also with the location which turned out to be much better than expected. I would stay there any time again.

Affordable hotel in the centre

We stayed in Carpati Hotel; the hotel is perfectly located in the Strada Matei Millo, just a two minutes walk from the Calei Victorei. The rooms are clean; they have rooms with and without shower/toilet. It is a popular place, so book in advance. Reservations via the website are possible, but be sure to arrive before the maximum time of arrival.
The elevator in the hotel should not be missed, it is a very special one.
If you want to save time in the morning, skip the breakfast and go to a pattiserie instead.

Unique Quality: Central location
Elevator

Directions: Centre of the city

Best of the cheap and central

Carpati Hotel (around EUR 50 / DBL BB, ask for the rooms on the last floor, they are the cheapest; otherwise state your preference, as some rooms do not have their own bathroom). It is a refurbished hotel just 5 minutes from the centre.

Unique Quality: It is not expensive, clean and located in a quiet street.

Directions: From University Square take Elisabeta Avenue to the West, then, when noticing a Mc Donald's to your left, turn right on Brezoianu Street and stick on it for 5 minutes until finding the Matei Millo to the right.
