Unique Quality: Crowne Plaza is a very nice 4* hotel, great food especially brunches all trough the day. The downside is that the hotel is 6km to the Old City Center and not near any metro station so you'll take a taxi on every exit to town.
Directions: Northern region of Bucharest
The hotel was in a good location and the facilities were of good standard. The restuarant served good very resonably priced food. The health club on the top floor was also good with all facilites including pool available. Only downside was the bar closed at 12am which meant that you had to enter the casio if you wanted a late drink which was not suitable for a quiet chat.
However would stay again if travelling to the city.
Located between the airport and the city centre, the CP hotel is accessible only by a taxi or a rented car. There are fairgrounds and business locations near, but nothing for a tourist. Club Lounge was closed / non existent, while there is Club rooms, they are only a little bigger.
Unique Quality: Bowling alley is within walking distance, but not much else. Not so nice neighbourhood either. Plus you NEED a car. The hotel service was good though, as was the breakfast and gym facilities.
Directions: between airport and the city

There is a serbian restaurant, more or less just cross the street:
Str. Tipografilor 31
I like the food and the athmosphere.
As well you could give Lobb's a try. It's an Italian restaurant
situated within the World Trade Center (close to Sofitel Hotel)
B-dul Expozitiei 2
They have Jazz every friday, too
More expensive though then Taverna.....
I don't know any bars there within walking distance.
If you take a cap then go to either
White horse or Dubliner. Both full with expats, good vibes and
tasty beer :-)
