Cabana Balea Lac: Another mountain hut
I didn't stay in this mountain hut during my visit to Muntii Fagaras, but I thin it's a good idea to stay there as it's a perfect starting point to make some trips to the mountains. Although the place may seem to be too touristy, it's worth considering , and what is more- they answer mails which is not common in Romania ;-)

Cabana Paraul Capra: A mountain hut
A good location -quite high in the mountains (1600 m), a good starting point for some hiking , a restaurant with decent food available (the price included breakfast), a very friendly atmosphere; nobody spoke English , one waiter spoke some German.
Unique Quality: Too high price for the standard given - we had problems with the shower and the rain falling down the wall inside the room.
But when sitting by the hut we could admire a beautiful waterfall in fornt of us...
