There's a few things that let this hotel down, but only one was annoying enough to spoil my stay: mosquitoes. Not entirely the hotel's fault, but the constant bites were unpleasant, as was being woken up in the middle of the night by a high pitched buzzing. It also wasn't pleasant to have to keep the windows closed on warm, muggy evenings.
Don't get me wrong: it wasn't a plague of them, just a few, but they kept coming. I have no idea where from. The rest of the hotel is great, especially it's central location, the large, clean room, the cool courtyard, nice views and the comfy bed. It's also very good value. It only requires that you buy bug spray the first day you are there (the hotel would do well to supply a can for you).
But that's the other problem with the hotel. The staff are ok, and the service is acceptable, but they aren't particularly friendly or helpful. There's no effort to go the extra mile, or to think about things like "oh there's mosquitoes in here and that will be unpleasant for the guests - let's fix it." And these were big mosquitoes too.
If there had been a can of bug spray in the room on day one, this place would have got 4 or 5 stars from me...

Why this place is not here yet is amazing. The rooms and big and the price is managable even if you are on a budget. for 45 USD my room had two twin beds, a separate sitting room and a shower/bathtub that even my 6' 2" butt could fit in.
Unique Quality: The LP say's this place may be among the best in the entire country. They could be right.
Breakfast is included in the room price and it is right in the middle of the picturesq city centre.

As most of the places in Sighisoara, Casa Wagner is unique too. You won't find two identical rooms and the gothic architecture and the authentic saxon furniture takes u back in time to the counts' and contesses' mysterious times.

We only spent one night at the Casa Wagner but we were impressed by the wonderful service there.The staff was very kind and also friendly and the food was so appetising. The room was beautifully furnished in rustic style with a cable TV and we also had a lovely bathroom. The room was also impeccably clean. I would highly recommend this hotel as it is very central and offers anything a tourist would be looking for.

This is a beautiful hotel. It was recommended by someone. Each of the rooms are different and very nicely appointed. The furniture was lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pub in the basement was really neat.

These two are old houses in Sighisoara and Brasov, taken over by a Dutch man, entirely renovated, tastefully furnished with old pieces, and providing a warm, great service. Both of them can provide a fine way of approaching this part of Transylvania, especially as they are both greatly located in the central Council Square of Brasov, respectively in the fortress in Sighisoara.
