As we combined a trip for pleasure with some professional interest, we went to see some of the accomodation availabile in Sighisoara. "Legenda" house was one of them. Since they were almost full we were able to see the first room called "the old room" with lots of oraments full of memories. The room looked cozy and why not, romantic. From what they told us, there is also "the contess room", dedicated to the count's Vlad the Impaler sweetheart with whom a legend says that he had a hidden love-story. Other unique rooms are "the medieval room", "the green room" and "the dowry room".
Everything it's unique in "Legenda" House, especially the romantic scent and scenery. As they are almost fully booked most of the time, try to make your reservation in advance. Our entry into reception should have warned us. The sewer gas smell was strong. Plus we were quoted in euros-very unusual in Romania. We were asked to pay for both nights upfront; don't know why we didn't listen to our common sense. Then we walked up the road 100 meters to a separate bulding where the Internet did not reach. The Grandmothers Room is an apartment which we did not ask for. There were 3 beds, all sofa beds. There was a kitchen which was kind of convenient but there is no place to buy food in the citadel so it was useless. The hot water heater came only if the water was turned on full blast, with so much intensity that it splashed out of the sink. The tv did not work properly and everything was musty to say the least. In addition, the outer door had a broken lock "because the last guest had trouble." We have spent nearly 3 months wandering in Romania and this was the worst place we stayed. Find a pensiune if you can. Go to Sibiu instead of Sighisoara--it is a better medieval city.

Well, this was my third stay here. First two were 4-5 years ago, and were verry nice. Now the house looks old, and so does the furniture and blanket, the rooms have a bad smell and there's mould in bathroom corners. To bad, it used to be one of my favourite place to spend some holydays. Now I dont even want to go there any more.
Oh, and about the 50% discount to Dracula's restaurant does not worth- The food and beverages are very expensive and bad.
