Expensive, but amazing views of St. Basil's, Red Square, and the Kremlin. We partied like rock stars in this hotel, but for what we paid, we had to get our moneys worth.

Look through my tips - there should be some N.Year photos.
Fireworks at Red Square start at 10...11 p.m and last all night long. 3...4 a.m. there are still a lot of people there. Though you must be ready to walk a lot. Transport is closed and few taxi cars are rushed by a crowd at night time.
All restaurants in the center are overbooked in advance for New Year Eve.
You must try to book it now.
Balchug is not very "restauranty" place. Check many of points at Kitai-Gorod - plenty number of restaurants, this is just behind the Rossija Hotel looking from Balchug.
