Very good value for money when on business in Moscow. As all experienced Moscow Travellers will know, most important is to select a hotel which in convenient for you to get to certain parts of the city.
Recommend to book the deluxe or Executive rooms. With such booking you have access to the Executive Breakfast room on the Top Floor (25th). Breakfast is nothing extraordinary, but fine. The Exec. Breakfast room is a great Start, good view and very quite. No Waiting lines around the buffet...
What I found negative, is that in the rooms Holiday Inn does not offer complimentary/free bottled waters. This has already become standard in hotels with even lower standards. Solution: Just across the main road there is a small little Super market where you can buy a bottle of water for around 40-50 Rubles, which is around Eur 1,20 for a Litre bottle.
Located around the hotel you have several good restaurants to choose from, even a Mcdonalds for those looking for something cheap.
I recommend the Kolbsoff - Something like a Sports & Grill Bar. Great beer and good food for reasonable price. Hamburger Meal around EUR 10,00. The Stroganoff I had was really delicious.
The Fitness Centre is the best I have seen on my many stays in different hotels. It is actually a Fitness club called "Orange Fitness". So unlike other Hotel Fitness facility, the club is more lively. Its much better than being alone in one small little room with a few equiptment to select from.
Best part of it all are the training courses like Spinning, Aerobic etc. they offer. Just look at the time table.
The Equiptment (weights etc.) is above standard and the indoor pool with approx. 20m is sufficient to swim-excercise. For the layzy go'ers; the Sauna is located directly next to the pool. Just perfect!
As a hotel guest you can use these facilities all free-of-charge. Drinking water is availble also free-of-charge.
