Being a Novotel you know that it is going to be clean and have certain standards.
We had a family room for 4 which consisted of 2 double beds. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the couple of times we requested there help to book certain things - a tour, a taxi, they were very helpful and obliging.
There was a safe in the room.
Breakfast was not included and exceedingly expensive 9as there is a very nice bakery/coffee shop just along the road it was eqasy to fall from the hotel into one of their chairs of a morning!
It is fantastically located, close to 2 metro stations (Novoslobodskaya which is on the central line so extremely helpful) and Mendeleevskaya (on the grey line, just a couple of stops from changing onto pretty much any other line).
Just before the metro there is a kiosk selling pastries, sweets, beers and beverages. We were regular night shoppers, smuggling our goodies back to the room to avoid an mini bar costs!!!

Does anyine kow if there is a place in the Sheremet..airport where one can store luggage for a day or two? Also does anyone know how much it should cost to take a cab from the airport to the Novotel Moscow Centre hotel which is in the Pushkinskaya - Tverskaya area?
http://svo.aero/en/luggage-left/1/
tells you about the airport left luggage facilities in English.
I think language storage is little bit more expensive then it is written on the site, it is located on the left side after you go out from customs on the arrival area.
Taxi cost around 1200-1500 RUR if you order in advance by phone; if you order from taxi desk in the airport it will be around 2800 RUR.

Today the monastery is part of the historical museum. The main church is used an exhibition place and there can be seen lot of interesting artefacts We didn't went in (what a pity) but it looks great from outside too ....
It is good that the communists preserved places like this and I guess that they did it just to get tourists here ....
Alexander Pushkin is one of the famous poets of Russia. The monument is situated in Pushkinskaya Square. It's the popular place to meet with people because here 3 metro lines cross each other (green, grey and violet) and it's comfortable to get place in time and have a meeting. Besides the square is located in the center of the city and you can get easily Red Square or Arbat street in dozen minutes.
One of the most curious things I saw in Moscow.....
If U need a cigarette right now, but U don't have enough money to buy a packet , U can buy just one cigarette in one of the many little tobacco's shops spread on the side of the main streets.
Cool, isn't it ?
The Moscow Times is a daily newspaper in English language, which has been published in Moscow since 1992.
It is distributed for free in hotels, restaurants, pubs and similar places.
I found it very helpful to pick up the latest edition of the Moscow Times during my days in Moscow, as it not only reports about the latest world news but also about local events.
