Central and close to metro station
The hotel stands just opposite the Dostoevskaya/Vladimiskaya metro station.
It's a modern hotel built around a new shopping center. The only antique stuff is the palace façade!
Rooms are basic for an hotel of this category, with A/C and TV, but if you want the frigo bar you have to leave a deposit.
Anyway our staying there was nice, because the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Nevski Prospekt and the area is quite safe also at night.
Another PRo is the hotel's bar open 24 hours a day
Unique Quality: Central location, good view form the bar and from some rooms over Vladimirsky church, very close to a metro station and at walking distance from Nevsky prospekt

Russian Room Dostoevsky Flat Project 2 Hostel
A unique Russian travelor project. All members speak English and Russian. You stay with them in their flat in a normal unrenovated apartment.
For those seeking a good deal, interesting people and not concerned about fancy amenities.
