If anyone has questions about present situation in Krasnodar, I am honoured to present to you our most active member there: JuliaMac. We met in the first VT-meeting ever in Krasnodar and we spend a lovely evening together talking about thousand-and-one item. Meeting a new friend always belongs to my best memories.
A stranger among Russians.
by Pavlik_NL
Krasnodar, the Black Sea coast (Sochi, Anapa), Azov Sea (Temrjuk) and the Kavkas-mountains have an enormous attraction towards the Russians themselves, but ... as non-Russian you will be a stranger among them as only very few foreigners come to this corner of the largest country in the world. Most visit Moscow and Saint Petersburg and already fewer amounts see the country flashing by in the Trans-Siberian express. So, more "off-the-eaten-path" you can't be here, unless ... you're Russian.
Russian, lovers of the fine arts
by Pavlik_NL
Russians are truely art lovers. The number of museums, theatres and other art foundations are much larger then in any Western country. Painting, dance, music and acting are school subjects and people are raised with a large art feeling. Sadly, due to too many students in this field, many end up unemployed. Others however make fame in other countries, thus raising the name Russia has held already many decades. In Krasnodar, many theatres and concert halls can be found. Almost every night somewhere there is a program that could interest you. In the weekends, it's even hard to choose.
Presenting our family and friends in Krasnodar
by Pavlik_NL
"The whole family Kolesnikov(a)"
From left to right (from Irina's view):
Mother and Ilja's babushka Natalya Sergjevna
Sister and Tshotka Anya (with Ilja)
Irina and
Father and Ilja's dhedushka Valery Nicolajevitsh.
"Our best friends Julia and Sasha"
This picture is taken during the festival on the birthday of Krasnodar on the banks of the Kuban-river.
"Aunt Galina (sister of Irina's mother)"
Tshotka Galina lives as well in Krasnodar and has - together with her husband - a son and daughter.
"Anya, the pearl of the family"
Anna, Anya, Anushka or Anika. In Russia they can't get enough of nicknames and aliases. Anyway, our sister is the Benjamin, as well as pearl of the Krasnodar-clan.
"Babushka and Djedushka"
You can imagine how happy Irina's father and mother were to see us and our little son Ilja, their first grandchild. It was to be expected that he (and we) got awfully spoiled.
"Old House, our regional Russian rockband"
Old House is a famous rockband in the Southern part of Russia, with as homebase Krasnodar. On the picture you see Tolik (vocals), Vasili (drums), Fred (guitar) and Sasha (guitar) are good friends and we hope that once their music will be discovered by a person that could give them their well-diserved breakthrough. Besides covering rocksongs, many good songs are written by themselves.
"Girlsfriends"
Here they are, best girlfriends over 3.000 kilometers distance! Are they not beauties? Julia and Irina.
