What a lovely wooden building with an interesting architecture and great decorations, and what a pity that obviously everybody thinks that is is time to destroy such buildings instead of restoring them. They are also never mentioned on a guided tour by the local tourguides, who at the same time proudly present all of the modern, ugly appartmenthouses.
This house is on the way that you will walk from the cruise-port to the Museum of Icons

the monument for the Transsiberian Railway

The old building of the Transsiberian Railway is under restauration at the moment and next to it you will find an old steam-locomotive placed there as a monument. That might be interesting for train-amateurs and you will even find it very close to the ship-station. It might still take some time untill this building will be looking nice again from this side, on the back of the building is the more modern station of nowadays and when-ever a train is coming, the big gates will be opened to let the passengers in and out. The rest of the time it is impossible to get into the station.

strange title for my page about PERM, but one of my russian friends wrote to me, when I told her that I am going on a cruise from Perm to Moscow :
I wonder what they are showing you there except the ballet-school ...

And this is one of the many lovely russian orthodox churches of Perm.
