The main reason why anyone stops in Rabocheostrovsk is the village's ferry terminal that connects it with the Solovetskiy Islands.
Because we were arriving on the train from Petrozavodsk to Kem' (10 km away) in the middle of the night and leaving on the train from Kem' to Saint-Petersburg early in the morning, we had to book two nights here.
The hotel, which consists of two large cottages, is quite modern and had all the commodities we needed. Not only did the rate include breakfast, but the staff were kind enough to prepare us a breakfast-to-go because we were leaving on the early train that left Kem' at 4 a.m. Since we weren't the only ones taking that train, I guess the hotel staff is used to dealing with such requests from travellers.
The Prichal Hotel does not have a website, but many Russian travel agencies can help you book a room at the hotel.
