Never stay in Volga Hotel in Saratov
Dear visitors of Saratov city! WARNING! Never stay in VOLGA Hotel in Saratov (Kirov prospect)! You may face with rules as in the USSR when all is forbidden. You cannot to invite somebody from your friends in your room in the hotel (IT’S FORBIDDEN!) Every time when you come in the hotel you will be met by gloomy security guard who will check yourself and your documents.
This is very dirty and a spiteful place in the best traditions of the USSR.

A place to sleep...
Stayed there for a few days in 98. Very basic rooms with shared bathroom. There was no warm water and cockroaches were our roommates. On the other hand the staff was very friendly and helpful. All this might have changed as I just read that there was a renovation in 2003.
Unique Quality: It's right in the centre on Kirova. German consulate in the same building.
