So I guess girls should be especially careful.
Some Russian girls have a habit of getting blotto at clubs.

There's a lot of smallish beer breweries, although a lot of them are in former CCCP countries.

There's also such a thing as Russian Champaign (or whatever you want to call it when it isn't FROM Champaign) but it isn't especially good, comparable to a basic American brand. Some gangsters bought my table a couple bottles one night at a club, that was kinda cool.

The Novo-Tikhvin Nunnery Ensemble

used to be surrounded by a high stone wall with round and domed towers. Some of these towers have survived up to nowadays.
The Novo-Tikhvin Nunnery of Ekaterinburg was legitimated in 1809 and till the very October Revolution of 1917 it was one of the wealthiest cloisters in the Urals. The construction of the nunnery lasted all through the 19th century. The ensemble consisted of 8 churches (including The Cathedral of St.Alexander of the Neva), numerous cells, a hospital and an alms-house. The park of the nunnery was large and well-kept, it had a (sacred) number of ponds and a little river in it.
After the Revolution of 1917 the nunnery became a God-and-people-forsaken place, some of its buildings were ruined, other ones – altered. Now the old photos are the only evidence of the nunnery's gone wealth and majesty.

I was born in Ekaterinburg (the city name was then Sverdlovsk) and live there all my life. I like this city. I guess I know pretty much about it, so I probably be able to help the visitors with their questions. Feel free to ask.

this winter was the warmest they have ever had here, it still freesing, but no more then -5 during the day

It should be coulder, adn they told me we schould have days of -40 during the day, but no luck this year. As I am going to stay for a little bit longer, I hope for a cold winter next day, And yes the winters are beautiful
