M. P. Malakhov's House
by xenia
Vasnetsovskay str. (now Lunachrsky str.) was built in 1815-1817 as an out-of-town residence. It was of wood but due to its stucco coating looked like a brick edifice.
After over a hundred and a half years' life it reached a state where any restoration would have been senseless. In the 1970's the dilapidated building was pulled down and its exact copy was erected on its place – with a 15-20m offset with respect to a nearby traffic-congested road. The original house had been initially designed to be made of brick but for want of means wood – as a cheaper material – was chosen in event. However the rotunda-crowning dome has been "borrowed" from the old building.

Go to the romanov death site, they are building a museums there, lots off chriches and buildings all made of wood! It is a great palce, but I think you have to be quick. I think In a short time they will charge lots of money to see the place, and prices for tourist can be ten times the price as for russians.
It is in the woods, and I think it wil bee even more beautifull in the winter as it was in the summer!

"ice town"
This is typical ice town. If you have ever been to Russia in winter you probably have seen them. This one is build from ice block ( from Iset river). Behind of me is the coast. Around 20 m height and 50 m lenght. So amaizing, adrenalin level is very height!
I haven't try it, because wanted to stay alive :)
But russian children like it very, very much!
