Backpack, not to big or bags, getting luggaes on a bus can be a problem! good shoes, for ourside inthe winter water resistant, in the ummer sandles, or good walking shoes, comfertable, though the women walk on hihg heels every season. Oh and in the winter taek a very wirm hat, you rally do need it. in the spring to. the wind can be bitterly cold!!!!!!!
Wear layers of cloyjes, in the winter the houses and buldings are very warm, but outsite it is cold. Wearing leayers you can peal of is the way to gp/ toilet paper, but you can buy everything here! same every thing you can buy if you have money camping go with some one who knows the country, in the summer take musquty spray Just enjoy, but take clothes warm and cool weather resistant!

There is a nice crafmarket at Plochad 1905, the locals call it the Arbad, like in moskow,it is really worth a visit!
I do not have a picture that comes next time.
Oh you can buy really nice pictures there! And stones boxes and more of that stuff.

Yekaterinburg - A big, grey city in the Urals

"Big and Grey... Well, that's Russia!"

Yekaterinburg, like most other Russian cities, is big and grey.

I visited the impressive Chechenia Monument, dedicated to Russian soldiers who have died in conflicts there and elsewhere, And the fine Military museum, which showcases military artifacts from WWII and the cold war. It even has scrap metal from the downed american U2 spy plane (the highlight of my visit!)

life in Artymovski

Life here is very intresting the people are very nice
Artymovksi is a small town, 40.000 people in the whole area. It is 120 km north east from Ekatrinburg. It takes 3 hours by bus.
There is not much to do, there is hotel one resayrant and three café
But by living here it gives you a good Idea how live is for the russians!

By the time I am writing this it 27 th of october!
And there is snow and a lot of it. During the day it is -9! But it does not feel cold.

I work in Artimovski now for 4 months and will be her for one year, maby two. I am a sosial worker. And I am working for the VSO A organistion who send proffesional people out in the worls to share skills. I ended up her. I do not regred it.
Russia is a very intreresting country, with ditto people.

I work in a school for young juvniles, teaching english and working together with the schoolpsygolog and teachers.
The children are aged between 14 and 18. Most have had contacts with the police and aredrop outs from other schools.
