This is (I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong) the Sverdlovsk Oblast about 20 km out of Eburg in the Ural Mts. It marks the boundary between Europe and Asia. You haven't seen Russia till you have ridden on the highways. :-)

I attended a midway ride carnival type place during my summer visit to Eburg. All the equipment was made soooo many years ago, it's a thrill to ride for nostalgia's sake and to test your heart strength.
There were bumper cars, swinging Viking ships, very old roller coaster (metal, not work), and pony-rides.

Yekaterineberg, or Svedlovsk as the locals often still refer to it as, is famous for a couple of reasons:
1. It is the town where the Romanov dynasty met its final gruesome end; and
2. it's most famous son, Boris Yeltson studied at the technical university here.
Yekaterinberg is a major stop on the Trans Siberian railway.
