In may i fly off again.
Yekaterinburg, hard to get a good ticket, but it will do.
My old account 'vixxenph' is away on this website, same as all my pictures i added...
..but with new pictures soon from coming trip, i can add it under this matching 'nick'name now ; )
There is a good chance it still seems to be snowing this year in may, they predicted that.
Also at 9 may will be Victory Day, parades near Plotinka..

Yes, totally agree with Dr.Woland. It was always a little shoch to see the TU134 awaiting me...most of them really look like a junkyard. But *knock on wood*, there's never been any problem on my flights (about 5 or so).

Hi Patrick, I too went with one of those, with Ural Air, no problem and the servise was good.I have seen on the internet snow is still there and they are forcasting snow for the next week. When I left two years ago in April the snow was suddenly gone, but three years ago there was still a lot of snow in the middle of April, but it was all gone on the first of may, it was green and he trees started blooming, that day i even sunbathed.

Snow.. i like the snow pictures of suvaa003, but preffer the normal weather as it is in Ekat.. +15 degrees in may.
But the weather is not my main thing to go there*, i know it will be again a very nice staying for me.
I had few months p-lessons in russian language, have contact with other people in the city as well, so it must be even Better as last time i was in Ekaterinburg : ))))

In the summer just walk around, and have drink in one of the numeous summercafes.
just enjoy the city, but try to see the country side as too. In the winter just go to the Dubliners, a nice irish pub with a englis menu! I have so many, and I go there every two weeks, but when I was there with my husband I like it best. Again it is a great city
The Museum has a very large collection of semi-precious stones, many of them come from the Ural mountains. It's also a good place to buy some souvenirs to take home.
There aren't many visitors there, we wandered around alone. Entrance fee is 25 Roubles. It's open from 10am-7pm, except on Mondays.
The address is ul. Krasnoarmeiskaya 1A, next to the Bol'shoy Ural Hotel.

Here is I am in Yekaterinburg ( Ural). Population of the town is around 2 million people. Town is 290 years old, and almost all modern buildings are in Stalin's style. But you can find some of very old buildings, like this one. You can't see on the picture but this huse is without roof. It is burned.
I am sure that everybody agrees with me that cat is a poppet.
