Stayed on 1-3 May 2010. The price of a cheaper single room is 2600 RUB/night (incl. breakfast). If you reserve a room in advance, you are required to pay 25% of 1 night price additionally.

Wifi is not available virtually, though receptionists said it was in the lobby and 3rd floor.

The bathroom is terrible, because there is no partition except curtain between a shower room and the other, so all the floor of the bathroom was sloppy after taking shower.

Unique Quality: The hotel is located in the very center of Volgograd. You can reach the hotel by 2-3 minutes walk from the bus stop where a bus from the airport arrive.

A bottle of 500ml mineral water is supplied every day.

30 rubles are charged for leaving a baggage at the cloakroom.

Cheap room was a mistake

I have chosen that hotel because it was close to the railway station. In the room options I chose "double improved". The cost was 2400 rub + 25% for booking = 3000 rub ($100).
The improved part of the room was furniture, windows, wallpaper. As they left old style air conditioner in the room and didn't insulate it well, it was quite cold in the room and we needed to use pillows to cover the window.
In the shower it was difficult to define where you should take it because, the room is very small and the water drops right on the floor, and if somebody wants to use restroom after you take a shower, you have to dry the floor.
The breakfast was good but the food like omlets, eggs was cold.
Probably next time if I stay there I'll give a try to a "luxury" room.

Next to the Grand Cafe

Business visit. The Hotel has Internet facility in the room and in the Business Center. Location is very convenient and you can walk in a few minutes time over to the Volgograd university, the River Volga and the Theater House is just opposite.

Unique Quality: Around the Corner is the Grand Cafe, probably the most modern Cafe, Restaurant in Volgograd -with a real DJ. Coffee seelction is great and the quality is good. Recommended.

The Best In Town

I stayed in this Hotel for 5 weeks. It has all the normal facilities you would expect.
The internet connection in the Business Centre is not good, often no connection to the Net, best to go to the Post Office for Internet.
Laundry list only in Russian.
Good Security at the entrance.
Rooms Clean, and Warm in winter.
Rooms facing the front of hotel can be very noisey in Winter when they scrap the snow off the pavement at 6AM !
Rooms on 2nd floor, left hand wing have people walking past a lot so that they can reach the Bar/Cafe, Restaurant, Business centre etc. Can be noisey.

Unique Quality: Probably the most secure in the city for your possessions.
Ability to go to the 'Grand Pizza' and 'Grand Cafe' restaurants without leaving the building, a bonus in winter ! These restaurants being very popular to non hotel guests who have to enter from the pavement outside.
