Lumanskaya Zavod', guesthouse

The 2-floors house is situated near of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery. The DBL-room was RUR 1800 (USD 60) and I paid extra RUR 300 (USD 10) because I booked the place in advance. The room was very simple. The funny thing, the day we arrived there was no water in the house, that was strange because the town is laid on the lake... In any way, it is better to have a day-trip to Kirillov in my opinion.

Problems to find a hotel

If you want to stay in Kirillov at tourist season, it is good idea to book rooms in advance.

We failed to find any free room though there are more than 5 hotels in the town (wich is unusually many for Russian town of that size, but appeared to be too few for this place).

Kirillov is a sacral place and there are very many piligrims go there. Religious Travel is very popular here.

Finaly we found a hotel in Lipin Bor which is in 40 min driving from Kirillov and next night spent in Vologda which is in 180 km from the place.

You can also try to rent a room from local people. It is usefull, but we were not very persistent in finding it.
