I stayed at Hotel No. 16 after reading some good reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I could sit in the lobby all night, in the cozy chair by the fireplace reading a good book. Owned by a Slovak former actress and musician, Hotel No. 16 feels more like a home than a hotel. And the staff make sure you feel at home when visiting Bratislava.
In slow season, make sure to bargain the price down! I was able to gete a room for 70 Euro (regular price around 100 Euro)
Unique Quality: It is small, in a quiet area, ten minutes walk from the center and all the sights, and the service is great. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Directions: Fromt the main train station, take bus 81 or 93 two stops to Hodzovo nam., walk through the underground passage, go left and up to ground level. Then take trolley bus 203 or 205 two stops to Partizanska. Then walk up the hill about 300m.
