HOSPITALS-AMERICANS-IF YOU NEED TO GO TO HOSPITAL by tacofrogcheese
Ifo you are in need of a hospital and are American, don't call the embassy. They will only scare you and tell you you should get evacuated. This costs thousands of dollars. They will try to tell you that you should see an American doctor here and it is gonna cost alot. Instead I go to a local hospital for my torn ligament and got treatment and X-Rays for 850SK. This is maybe like 20-25USD. The wait time was like 45 minutes. This is still better than any hospital I've experienced in America. For a young person with no insurance this is the only option. They took care of me. Whats funny is that both of the doctors I saw were trained in North America. One in Canada and one in U.S.A. We all know the American government dosen't like people to travel and makes all sorts of attempts to scare this from doing so.Hospital is near Tescos, Hotel Kyjev and the #1 Tram stop. It is a parrallel street to Tescos right behind McDonalds. This hospital is a Catholic missionary hospital. It is no profit. There are a couple of English nurses/workers there that can translate for you. The name and address are as follows:
FNsP Milosrdni bratia, s.r.o.
Nam S.N.P. 10
814 65 Bratislava
P.S.-Don't Worry-They will not try to convert anyone to be Catholic.
