Great hotel

From the moment i arrived at Marrols to the moment i left the staff and facilties were exceptional. Whilst the room was small i would describe it as cosy and as i was on my own this was not a problem. Having a free mini bar and free internet access was a bonus.

The only thing missing for me was a proper relaxtion centre or spa - you have to book the entire spa which doesn't add up when your on your own and if you fancy a quick spell in the jacuzzi or sauna then your opyions are limited.

Also a proper bar area would be good.

Luxurious and personal small hotel

Hotel Marrol’s is a fantastic small hotel located conveniently about a 5 mins walk from the old town center. Our check-in went very smoothly sipping “champagne” and we got our room almost immediately even though we arrived 3 hours before the official check-in time. On the day of our departure we also got to keep our room later, because we had an evening flight back home from Vienna. Service in the hotel was polite and friendly but maybe not very professional all times since all the staff were quite young.

Our executive room was small, but very well-appointed and luxurious. Absolutely everything you could need was there from a flat screen TV, a DVD-player, personal computer with an internet connection, robe and slippers, to a complimentary minibar with soft drinks, white wine, beer and chocolates and snacks. Everything was also impeccably clean and in excellent condition. Our window faced the street in front of the hotel, but there was no bothering street noise at all.

Breakfast was nice with a selection of cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, eggs, bacon, fresh fruits, fresh juices, sparkling wine, fabulous cappuccinos etc. The hotel also has a summer terrace on the second floor where you can enjoy complimentary soft drinks and beer. This was a very nice touch since the weather was quite warm during our stay and it was refreshing to cool down in the shade of the terrace enjoying a nice cool drink.

I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others as in addition to providing good value for money, Hotel Marrol’s is so calm, luxurious and personal that why bother searching for better when you’ve already found the best…
