The Newest and Nicest Hotel in Town

I have been to Levoca many times over the last 10 years and have watched the town slowly develop into what has become a wonderful get away from the noise and bustle of many of the larger cities in Central Europe. Its relaxing atmosphere, its charm and its fine accommodation have
made it one of my favorite small cities in that neck of the woods. Besides the beautiful, historical Old Town , Levoca has been blessed with an astounding number of fine hotels for a town of its size. The newest and in my opinion nicest is the Hotel U Leva right across from lovely city hall.
Located in a wonderfully restored medieval town house the rooms are large and set up with every modern convenience including mini bar and SAT tv with hundreds of international stations. Many rooms over look the historic square which in my opinion is one of the nicest in Slovakia.
Another BIG bonus is the hotel restaurant which serves a nice mixture of pasta dishes as well a great steak and of course Slovakian cuisine. The wine list lets you explore the crisp , dry local white wines by the glass or bottle and the prices will encourage you to open bottles with abandon.. How nice it is to enjoy a great bottle of wine for the price you would pay for a couple of beers in Western Europe.

Unique Quality: The hotel has a great Sauna too plus you can take some great walking excursions in the hills around town.. Wonderful views... The huge castle complex at Spisskie Podrhadie down the road is amazing too.. about 20 minutes by bus.. Its a funky gypsy town well worth visiting and unspoiled by mass tourism!
