Pension Montana: Worst B&B experience
I would like to warn all travellers planning to visit this beautiful part of Slovakia to stay clear from pension Montana. Being a Slovak I'm pretty much used to poor services in tourism in some parts of Slovakia but this was too much. Although newly built, the pension must have been built in haste as it's quite obviously not finished yet, who knows if it ever will. Missing curtains on windows (even those facing the road), missing bedside lamps (you can use your mobile to get from the main light switch to your bed without injuires), running water in the shower all night (no, not leaking, it was running) and a very arogant owner who treats guests as if they were bothering him. The only good side were the waiters who I feel sorry for as they have a really stupid boss. We stayed here in March 2007 for a company ski trip and will never go again and warn all others against it. My advice: there's planty of nice, cheaper nad more welcoming accommodation in Terchova.

In Terchova you'll find many holiday houses to stay in. The accommodation usually consists of a bedroom and a private or shared bathroom. There are also cooking facilities and other depending on the accommodation itself.

Chata na Gruni - chalet: In The Heart of The Mountains
If you want to stay up in the mountains and from there make your hiking trips, this is the right place. Do not expect any special comfort. The rooms are small, with bunk beds and will sleep from 2 to 4 people. The bathroom and toilet are common. Meals can be ordered in the chalet either on a half board basis or you can order from the menu. The cuisine is typically Slovak with not more than 5 hot meals to choose from. After all, it is a mountain chalet. In the evening the atmosphere is nice in the dining hall with people gathering for a beer and a chat over their trips.
