There is an information center but it's not open on weekends in off-season. But in front of the building by the main road you will find area maps hanging here. A hiking summer one and a skiing winter one among them.

Stary Smokovec

The oldest settlement at the southern foot of the tatra.
We can find 4 Smokovce settlements: Stary,Novy,Horny and Dolny.

"A tour trip"

One of the most beautiful walking tours in the tatras is at the Mala and Velka Studena dolina.
Traversing the snowfields late in summer can be dangerous.
The trip we where planning was from Hrebienok to chata Teryho (Mala studena dolina)and then to chata Zbojnicka(Velka studena dolina).But, because of the fresh snow at the mountains we had to stop this trip at Teryho chata.
Their was 50cm snow and it was to dangerous to compleet this hike.
So back the same way to Hrebienok.

Tour:
From Stara Smokovec the funicular railway to Hrebienok.
Then: red 0.45u to Zamkovsketo chata, green 2.00u to Teryho chata, yellow 3.00u (one way direction) to Zbojnicka chata, blue 1.55 to Rainerova chata, green 0.15u to Hrebienok.
