There is a tourist office in Tatranska Lomnica on the main road. It was closed when we were there. But if you plan to hike I suggest you buy a hiking map in the information office or a souvenir shop. There is a town map hanging near the railway station.
Raingear and Maps

Most visitors to Tatranska Lomnica will be planning to hike in the High Tatras. The weather can change quickly in the Tatras, especially at the higher points, where it can be very cold and it may rain frequently. My advice is to prepare yourself for all conditions. Bring rain gear and lots of layers of clothing which you can remove in warmer conditions.
Also, a good map of the Tatras is essential. You can buy a hiking map in the tourist office for 109 SKK.
Sightseeing in Tatranska Lomnica

There's not too much to see in Tatranska Lomnica as it's really only a base for exploring the Tatras. While we were trying to find the cable car we did see a bit of the town and passed a couple of interesting places like the church in the photo. There is also a museum of the tatras near the bus station which could be worth visiting if it's too wet to go hiking.
ski resort in high tatra region

"Experience winter sports in Slovakia!"
It is said that tatranska lomnica is very likely to alpina ski resorts. Indeed, there are cable cars and nice slopes. But concerning the size, it's rather equal with a tiny alpine ski resort. Nevertheless, it is absolutely worth to go there, because the snow conditions are great, much better than usually in Switzerland for example. They shape the slopes and the infrastructure is equal to western europe. I experienced only one disadvante: We had to queue for hours in order to take the cable car. Maybe this was unusual, because it was peak season, 31st of december
