I stayed over there in 2004. It had a... very "communist era" feel (just like hotels I've stayed at in Estonia and Latvia) : big empty room, not cute by any means but functional (even though my then-GF complained about the too-spare nonetheless big bathroom).
However, it got refurbished lately, looks much nicer (hence the "plus" added to the 3-star ranking). I even heard from a co-worker that a room had a jacuzzi !
Didn't stay there, but heard about it numerous times from co-workers.
Nice accomodation but... don't go there in summer, rooms have no blinds and the sun rise early in eastern Europe (unless you dig getting up at 5am).
Recently bought by Koreans (they build a huge car plant in Zilina), might be upgraded.
