 | Slovenia Reviews | Tips 1 - 10 of 107 | | A great A frame apartment right in the centre of Ribcev LAZ which is your base for exploring the Lake Bohinj area.
Bunks and beds means you can accommodate a larger party in a spacious apartment. Leave a Comment

We had driven through only 10 miles of Slovenia before when visiting Croatia, so decided to go back and see some more. We were stunned by the thousands of trees and the very tame birds in the country. Leave a Comment Theme: OtherAddress: Slovenia

I never had a problem to find something fine to pass the night but mostly I visited Slovenia on daytrips from my home base Austria. But you find everywhere a wide range of suitable accommodation (the sad exception is - according to Oja - the weak network of Youth Hostels). But with the rich variety of other accommodation including camping it should be easy to find your specific place to sleep. The prices are slightly below the northern, western and southern neighbours. As everywhere in Europe it is reasonable to avoid as far as possible the top of the Summer season in July and August. Leave a Comment Theme: Campground

This hostel is located in the heart of Ljubljana. It is a short walk to all the major tourist attractions and department stores. The hostel is small, it only has beds for 14 people. It was clean and well kept. However, there is only one toilet and shower for all those people. So I can imagine in the summer when it is full that might be a problem. The people that worked there were friendly and helpful. Internet is offeres free of charge as was laundry. There is a lso a small kitchem if you want to cook your own meals.
The people that worked there really made the stay memorable. There was this lady (I can't remember her name now) that was really the hostel mom. She made sure that you were dressed properly before you went out into the cold and hung around and watched TV and movies with teh guests. She was really quite funny. The owner also made an appearance as well. He came and chatted with all the guests at some point. Leave a Comment

You get a nice cooking area, small TV, bar&restaurant with stunning view of the lake, and from some of the rooms-also the amazing view of the lake. very cheap as well! We loved staying here! Our host Luka was really friendly and helpful. We found the location pretty close to the lake and the hotel/guesthouse itself was as clean as a whistle and really attractive. This 3* hotel is located about half way between the train station and the Old Town and is part of a small shopping complex. The room was a good size with a good sized double-bed, TV, fridge (which was empty), phone, a/c and plenty of storage. The bathroom was clean with WC, sink, hairdryer and a good shower. Breakfast was the usual continental affair that was served in the hotels small Bavarian inspired restaurant/bar. It was good to come back after a day’s sightseeing and sit outside and enjoy a beer. Pay in cash (euros) so you get a better rate. Leave a Comment

This 3* hotel is very well located, being just over the square from the City Castle. The whole hotel has been renovated recently and it shows. The room I had was virtually sparkling. It had a king-size doublebed at one end and a sofa, desk and walldrobe at the other separated by a TV on top of a cabinet housing a mini-bar and shelves. The room was really what I would call a suite than just a double bedroom but I believe all the rooms are like this. The WC was separate from the main bathroom which had a doublesize walk-in shower with sliding door, sink and hairdryer. Breakfast was the usual continental affair plus some cooked food such as scrambled eggs and sausages. This was one of the best hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed at and the out-of-season price during the summer makes it a real bargain. Also included in the price is free admission to the Fontana spa complex which is well worth going to.
