Hotel Spik ***
Situated in Gozd-Martuljek, a village 10 min by car from Kranjska Gora. Owned by Petrol, one of the sponsors of Planica competition, meaning that all competitors stay there. Not the best value for money anyway so don't feel sorry if you can't find a room there during the competition week.

Accommodation must be secured well in advance. I usually book at least 6 months before the competition. In 2002 I tried to find sth 3 months before the competition and of course everything was taken so we had to stay in a place 20 min away from KG.

Of all the listed accommodations, I stayed at Garni apartments and was very satisfied. They are located in the very centre of Kranjska Gora (between hotels Larix and Prisank), there's a post office & supermarket across the street, Papa Joe's is less than 5 min on foot.
You can take apartment for 2-4 or 4-6 people. Apartments have fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, balcony.

This is the accommodation I have stayed in for all my visits it is a small quiet chalet type building with room for about 25 people, eight rooms and one apartment sleeping up to 7 people.
When you stayed here nothing was too much trouble for the Novak family who owned and run it. The food was excellent The breakfasts were as much as you could eat and the atmosphere was cosy. Whilst you were here you were part of the family. You can't get in for the ski jumping world cup in March because it is fully booked, but any other time it is worth trying to get in you won't be sorry.
Just one warning "beware of the schnapps".

Price is about 40 Euros half board per night at High season.

Rooms are unbelievable in size and quality.
Restaurant and Bar downstairs as good as anything in the Village
Service exceptional and extremely friendly
All for £15.00 per night inc Breakfast.
They even drove me back to the Airport - 65 Miles- whats that all about.
The Best, stand on me
Huge rooms, they would make two rooms in England.

I have Had Many visits, including Eight for the ski flying and I Have been very satisfied.
We stayed BB again so that we could eat where and when we liked but as usual the evening meals are so good at Livada that we ate here every evening. Livada is renowned for some of the best home cooking in the area. It is very likely that you will receive a small firewater after your meal, they really look after you.
Diners even come from Italy and Austria to eat here.
Other guests we spoken to that have stayed Half board were very happy with the food and service they received.
If you just want to come and eat you can , but at peak times you might be best to book a table.
The breakfasts are also very good and if you ask for it you usually get it. The choice is wide and varied and the quality good.
I just can't get enough. I plan to be here for my 23rd time in August 2009.
The price I have stated is for B&B at peak season.
Friendly staff.
Good views.
Great evening meals and breakfasts.
Child friendly.
You also get the odd free drink Hic Hic!!But beware the schnapps is very potent.

Anyone who is going to Kranjska Gora has to book and stay here! You pay about 35 Euros per night, and what you get for that is incredible. The rooms are huge, with large balconies. The best part is the food!!!! There is a breakfast buffet served every morning. And the dinners....oh! I would go back to stay there just for the food. You get a (delicious!) 4 course meal every night included with the price. The staff were so friendly and accomodating. Miklic is the only way to go! As this area is very picturesque, offers fresh mountain air and magnificient views of PRISANK AND RAZOR, it has been a popular excursion place for almost a century.
The present inn was established in 1985, on the spot of the former baths.
Inside there is room for some hundred guests and on the roofed terrace for some 100...
The inn is famous for its veru rich choice of dishes, especially for those made of venison and fish.
They have various great ice-cream desserts and delicious pastries from the inn's home-kitchenlike layered cake and apple- or cottage cheese strudel.
In 1999 the summer taproom was remodelled to better satisfy the desires of the young ones and the price-sensitive guests!

Really a place where they pamper their guests and well, being their GUESTS we do deserve that because we worked hard to have a nice holiday......
There are, to complete this list, 4 tennis courts, a beach volley ball playground, a basketball playground, mountainbike rental, a children's playground and a car park and last but not least: a nice park to cap it all! In Slovenia - that little emerald of Europe - lies this wonderful place Kranjska Gora, only a stone's thrown from its neighbouring countries Italy and Austria.
It is situated very near to important European highways and yet hidden from the rest of the world in the heart of the "TRIGLAV NATIONAL PARK".
There you can find a yellow painted inn, in the very centre, and it is called HOTEL KOTNIK.
It has 15 neatly furnished and extremely comfortable rooms.
There is also a pleasant restaurant - traditional national dishes and a variety of other dishes ...
also a well-known Pizzeria " PINO".
The smells coming from the oven will tickle your nose and I suppose, no I KNOW, that you will never get a better pizza elsewhere!
A huge parking spot in front of the hotel gives you an opportunity to leave your vehicle without worrying about it, since you won't need it once here....
Footpaths and forest roads, ski slopes, cross-country running tracks, casinos and many other attractive places to go and things to do are all in the direct vicinity of the hotel.

180 guests can find a nice place, a comfortable place, to spend their holidays here and...in every season.
There are spare beds available and then there capacity is 230 guests!
90 rooms have a bath, a shower and WC in 60 more rooms there is a color television, a mini-bar and direct telephone line.
You can also use your cell phone here, which of course is great!
The restaurant offers a classical international cuisine enriched with traditional dishes and when it is necessary special diets!
Of course you can always get room-service, which is a nice extra....
To get completely relaxed and refreshed there is a fitness-room, a beauty parlor and a massage room.
