If you are early, you will have time to see more.

What I mean by "early" is early morning or early in the year, without the crowds KG can be a different place, try it sometime.
I can't name one most important thing as all of KG is important to me. The one scenic view I think that should not be missed though is the Martuljek mountain range from the meadows near Srednji vrh. I miss the friendly people. All my memories of KG are good but one of the best is the first time I took my friend who is a fussy eater, on arriving at our accomodation he was trying to find out what was for dinner, he was told "steak in mushroom sauce", I could see from his face that he wasn't too happy. We went up to freshen up and I asked if there was a problem "I don't like mushrooms " he said, I knew it of course.
Anyway we went down had a Jagermeister, then went for dinner, when it came he proceeded to put on pepper instead of salt which of course he doesn't like.
I told him to try it and he scoffed the lot and said it was lovely.
Must be the Jagermeister. Dober tek!
Euros
by stanian
Do not change your hard earned into Euros before you leave the UK, the rate that you get will not be anywhere near the rate you will get in Kranjska gora.
For example Lloyds tsb on 30/11/07 were offering 1.341 to the pound and SKB in Kranjska gora were offering 1.41 so for every 100 pounds exchanged at Lloyds you lose 7 Euros converted back to UK puonds at the rate in KG equals £5.22 nearly over £5 pound that's about 4 beers or cakes at Charlies.
Poland funs

Great number of funs from Poland came here to celebrate the World Cup victory of their national heroe Adam Malysz. Unfortunately, Malysz haven't had his day, the other guys have been much better, in particularly those from Scandinacian countries.

Wonderful event for competitors and lookers-on!
PLANICA
by novsco61
Planica is an alpine valley in northwestern Slovenia,on the south from the border town Ratece, not far from another well known ski resort, Kranjska Gora. Planica is famous for ski jumping. The first ski jumping hill was constructed before 1930 at the slope of the Ponca mountain. In 1934 Stanko Bloudek constructed a larger hill, sometimes also called a mammoth hill. In 1969 a new K-185 hill was constructed by Lado and Janez Gorišek.
