Would recommend this hotel being very central, staff very friendly, one thing the hotel heating system is like a Sauna, no matter where you set the thermostat it was still hot.
Breakfast average....very rarely replenished.staff to busy clearing tables.

walking distance to old town
Friendly & Helpful staff. Awesome bakery on ground floor. Room was small, and too warm unless windows were open -- then there was too much noise from outside, but this was really a minor inconvenience for us. I would recommend this hotel.
Unique Quality: Good gift shop, good restaurants, awesome bakery.

HOTEL SLON Best Western
Hotel Slon (Slon = Elephant) has a history that goes way back in time.
When Archduke Maximilian visited Slovenia, he brought along in his caravan also an elephant. Most Slovenians had not seen an elephant before this event. It is said that the elephant stopped and rested at the exact spot where the hotel stands now.
Hotel Slon celebrated the 450 th anniversary of this event in 2002 with an elephant parade infront of the hotel.
Unique Quality: The location of this hotel is premier in Ljubljana. They however lack parking spots.

In the heart of the city
This 4 stars hotel is located in the heart of the city, it is within walking distance of many sights and points of interest. Hotel Slon is probably the best known hotel of the town and many visitors of the town prefer it because of the high quality services.
Unique Quality: I stayed here couple of times and was very safisfied.
There are 171 rooms with the prices from 77 to 213 euros, however, rhis prices might be changable.

Slon Hotel is ok even if not the best in town; it is a member of the Bestwestern Hotel family.
The position could be the main feature of this hotel, quite central ...
Unique Quality: Strange (cold) atmosphere in the breakfast room ... seems to be in a very old movie about USSR :-)
