Youth hostel,witch was told to be hotel

We had understood in net and in phone,that this is a real hotel,and that it is in the center.Both wrong..It was quite far from centre(over 30min with foot or more,if I remember right)By the name(Center)we thought that it really is in center,but word center ment a sport-center!
Rooms were quite new,but like in youth hostel,and everything felt like it would break if you touch.And our toilet-seat did broke!We had to change room,because they couln´t fix it.By the look of the room,it was over-priced if you compare to others in this country.And breakfast would have paid extra.We desided to buy some bread from shop instead.
When we went to sleep around one o´clock at night,the sport-center turned into a bar,and voice was terrible-I hardly slept before 4 o´clock.The other part of hotel was really a youth-hostel,and we are not old ourselves,but you could really see,that place was full of noisy backpackers.If you want to sleep quiet-don´t choose this..

Unique Quality: If you like to take sports or hang out with teenagers then this is right place to you.Maybe I could recommend this to backpackers,if they don´t mind distance from center.

A budget accomodation.

The hotel is some 3 km. far from the city center. You can go there by bus (n. 9 opposite the train station) in fifteen minutes. Ask the bus driver where you have to stop, he will surely knows where Bit Center Hotel is located.

I was given a small room with bathroom en suite and satellite tv.

The buffet breakfast was basic; bread, cheese, ham, butter, jam. The coffee (not expresso) was good; the yogurt (natural taste) was also good.

Unique Quality: The cheap price and a free parking area.

Cheap and nasty

Bit Center is as well a hotel as a youth hotel. The rooms of the youth hotel are downstairs and in the same building is a fitness centre where you get discount if you are a hotel guest.

In my opinion the only advantage of this hotel is that it’s not so expensive like other hotels in Ljubljana and that it has ample free parking. You are also close to the highway in case you would like to do some excursions and there are busses to the centre of Ljubljana. However the rooms are terrible. The walls need to be painted, the carpet looked dirty and should be replaced, and it was smelling awful there. The ‘bathroom’ reminded me of those toilets used for the workers on building sites, it was like they’ve put a such cubicle into the room. It also was all plastics, however has a normal flush lavatory and washbasin – and a very small shower. At least the beds where good. There’s a self-service breakfast with not much choice (no rolls or eggs), but it’s okay for a one-star-hotel.

Anyway, next time I’d rather spend some more money and go to another hotel. One night in this hotel might be okay, but I won’t stay there any longer!

A Bit overpriced

This place certainly is no good value for money. The rooms are spartanic (except for the tv) and the bathroom is just a small plastic cubicle. Walls are so thin that you can understand every word spoken in the neighbouring rooms, so bring earplugs!
It's clean though.

Unique Quality: There are all kinds of sport activities like fitness, badminton etc aswell as sauna and solarium. Hotel guests get a 50% discount.

BIT CENTER HOTEL

This is quite a new hotel a few km outside the centre of Ljubjana. It is popular among travelers visiting Ljubljana. It is easy to fine, along the Litijska street.

Unique Quality: Much cheaper compared to other hotels in Ljubljana.

A good value hotel.

The Bit Center is a hotel cum hostel cum sports center. I'd read some complaints that the staff were rude and didn't speak English, but when I was there they were absolutely fine, and seemed surprised that I even asked if they spoke my language. The place is very clean, and extremely good value as a hotel, and I got a reasonably sized two bed room, with en suite shower and cable TV, for about 20 euros. The only downside is that it is a little out of town, but is fairly easily accessible by bus.

You can take number 13 direct from outside the station, and there are buses 5 and 9 from the centre. Just pay your 300 SIT (exact fare only), or buy a token from the Post Office or elsewhere, and stay on until you reach the row of shops and garage on Litijska Ceska. You can also get a taxi, if you are feeling less than confident. Just remember that it costs a lot more from outside the train station, about 2200 SIT, but only about 900 SIT if you get one from in town, or by calling for one.

I'd Try Something Else

I get the feeling that this place is actually a small, tourist class hotel, but that in order to bring in the student population they threw some bunkbeds in the basement and decided to market it as a hostel as well.

Unique Quality: Waaayyy out of the center. A good 45 minute walk, or else a long bus ride. And the bus stops running at 10:30. Unbelievably rude staff, and a very cold reception overall. I would try out a small pension in the center, unless you're really on a budget.
