Top class!
Calls itself a B&B, but to me it's more of a guest house. It is located close to the old town - say 10 minutes walk - and the Tivoli park is about 5 minutes in the other direction. The street is small and quiet, so no traffic noise in spite of being central (plus the windows are double glazed).
My room is large and comfortable, with minibar, cable TV & airconditioning. Very nicely decorated and furnished. Oh, plus free wifi so I can write glowing reviews on VT after breakfast.
You have a traditional style coffee shop on the ground floor, with a lovely terrace area at 1st floor level.
Breakfast is a self serve buffet - just cereal, fruit, yoghourt, bread etc to eat. Suits me fine, but don't expect something lavish! It is served in a wonderful old wood paneled room.
I stayed there twice in July 09, and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
In summary - highly recommended!
Unique Quality: Value for money & comfort - €65 for my single.

Best place I've stayed........
Slamic is a tea/coffee shop with bed & breakfast rooms above.
It is about 10 minutes walk from the railway/bus station, and about the same to the absolute centre of Ljubljana (probably a bit less). The street is fairly quiet, even during the day.
In a city with very limited central mid-budget accommodation, it is by far the best place I've stayed on my 3 visits.
Rooms are quiet (looking over the back of the adjoining buildings) andabsolutely pristine, with en-suite, soap/shower gel, hairdryer, air con, comfortable bed, mini-bar, safe, TV with multiple channels.
There's a small lounge, and a large shared balcony for smoking.
There's an even larger patio area for the coffeeshop (open until 10pm), with wicker armchairs. It's at first-floor level, and the indoor coffeeshop (and cakes, and tea)is on the gournd level.
Staff are courteous and speak good English, and credit/debit cards are accepted.
Breakfast is simple: coffee, tea, juice, cereal, bread, preserves.
Only disadvantage is that there is no lift, so anyone with walking difficlties would find the stairs hard to manage.
I consider Slamic to be a real find, and will definitely stay there on my next visit.
