Hotel in Bled not Ljubjana
The hotel is outside the rather ugly modern town of Bled. It has lovely gardens on the lake front. Some of the trees obscure the view of the island but it's very peaceful. The hotel inside is quite grand but sort of 1930s style. The rooms have been revamped and are very comfortable, wood floors, marble bathrooms and comfortable beds. The reception staff were enormously helpful over what to visit, directions and advice.
Unique Quality: Peaceful, great views and nice staff.
