Garni Hotel Mitra: 2 days at Hotel Mitra

Because the weather was not very good and it was raining all day, we decided to stay 2 nights at the Hotel Mitra.
The hotel is located on a very nice pedestrian street. It has only 23 rooms on 3 floors and does not have an elevator. However, the staff was very friendly and offered to help carry our suitcases upstairs. This hotel is charming and has a lot of character.
I noticed that several bicyclists were allowed to bring in their bicycle inside the hotel.

The hotel serves a nice buffet breakfast in the morning. I have to admit that I did not like the coffee served in any of the hotels where I stayed in Slovenia.

Nice friendly English-speaking staff
Great location in the old town and within walking distance from the castle

A little hard to find if you are driving, due to one way streets in the downtown area.
Parking is a few blocks away.

Hotel Mitra: Lovely location in the city centre

Peaceful hotel, freshly renovated - though not yet completely - in the main street of the city old centre. Good price, nice breakfast, lovely people around. Better to ask a room looking at the castle instead that the main street, if you prefer to avoid noise coming from the cafeteria on the ground floor.

Hotel "Mitra": Very colourful

This three stars Garni hotel is situated in the heart of the old core of the town. It is very old hotel, begining of its activitiy goes back to 1870. There are only 23 rooms in the hotel, very good equipped.

Hotel is just a foot from the all major attractions of the town of Ptuj. Besides, it offers various programs which interweave with history of the town.
The single room costs from 38-57 euros,
apartment 71 euros, luxury room 49-68 euros
