I booked this enormous two bedroom apartment through the internet, and it worked out incredibly good value at about US$44 per night ($22 per person). The apartment included cable TV, ADSL internet connection, en suite shower, a kitchenette and balcony. The only downside was the walk into town, but it was only about ten minutes, and it did make for a very quiet night's sleep, which was just what I needed. There's also a couple of excellent Mercator supermarkets nearby.
I think the price given on the Internet is a 50% discount, as the price I was initially told by the kindly old gentleman that runs the apartments was twice what I had agreed. However, after only a slightly embarrassing moment, it was quickly understood how much I actually meant to pay. I think at the full price it would be ok value, but at the price I paid through the internet it was fantastic. It was very clean, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing after a enjoyable, but exhausting weekend in Ljubljana.
The place is out of town a little, but finding it is easy. If you come by bus, get off at the first stop in Bled, and walk back along the road that the bus drove in on, which is Ljubljana Ceska. This is the main road in and out of town, so it is easy to find, even if you drove in or came by train. After a little river, there will be a wooden board advertising "sobe" apartments on Finžgarjeva. Take a left after the signpost, and keep to the right. The apartments are right at the end of the street, on the left, at number 29.
