Something special for Slovenia
There is something about the Golf that makes it special. The public rooms are very well kept as are the guest rooms. I particularly like the indoor swimming pool.
Whether it is the Park or the Golf do ask for a room with a lake view and above the 6th floor.
Unique Quality: Yes there is something unique about the Golf. It has a phenomena that no one has yet explained to me or those with me. There is a strange "whooshing" sound emanating in the main public rooms and can be heard from the stairway on the floors I have been on. I thought it could be the lifts going up and down. I brought it to the attention of the reception staff one night and we all heard it when the lifts were not operating??? Perhaps it is just the hotel sighing with success?

Second Visit to The Golf
This is the second time I have stayed in the Hotel Golf and it lived up to expectations.
Still spotlessly clean with very good food, friendly & helpful staff and some great views from the balcony.
The hotel has recently been renovated and a new smimming complex has been added.
All rooms have satellite tv, internet access and mini bar.
Food is self service bufet with great choice and nothing I didn't enjoy (admittedly there is never much I don't like!)
There is also an Aperitif Bar in the reception area serving cocktails and the usual fare.
The hotel is situated in the centre of Bled, very close to the lake.
Unique Quality: I think all rooms have balconies either facing the lake or other to the hills. (on both occasions I have views over to the hills)
The new smimming complex, Wellness Ziva, is free to all guests.
Th thermal bath complex is situated at the rear of the building and the walls may be retracted in the summer.
The swimming pools are heated to 30 C and are equiped with massage chairs and beds.
More fun though is the slide which connects two of the pools!
There is also two pools for the kids and two whirlpools with heated thermal water.
Great for unwinding after a long walk!

Roomy and Reasonable in Bled
We stayed six nights at the Golf Apartments (Apartmaji Golf) in Bled, Slovenia. While it was a little shabby (3 stars), we were very satisfied. For about €80/night, we got a bedroom with two twin beds, bathroom, a living room with two beds/sofas that our children slept on, and a kitchenette well-stocked with utensils. We also had a huge balcony that looked out on the mountains and a large lawn. I suppose you could have seen the lake from the other side of the building, but you also would be facing the parking lot. Fresh towels showed up every day, but that seemed to be about the only maid service other than taking out the trash. Two quirks: one morning our showers were only lukewarm; and we had to lock the door in order to keep it shut. That meant that when I went for my run in the morning, I had to lock everybody in.
Unique Quality: Staying at the Golf Apartments gives you free entrance to the pools in the Živa Wellness Center at the Golf Hotel. It includes two large pools on different levels, connected by a water slide that my ten year old daughter couldn't get enough of. There were waterfalls and "bubble benches," as well as a toddler pool, indoor/outdoor pool (small), and two jacuzzis. The pools were open from 0700-2100, and it was really nice to go and relax there after a day of seeing the beautiful Slovenian sights.

Comfortable Hotels
Unique Quality: Being 1 of the biggest Alpine holiday resorts, it's no wonder that you can find comfortable hotels of all categories, apartments and private rooms all over Bled. There's also a camping site.

Great views
We originally had reserved for the Golf Apartments, but because there were not enough reservations, they closed early and put us in the Hotel Golf insteas (for the same price). At first glance, it does not strike you as anything but one of those large communist-style monstrocities, but on the inside it was pleasant enough. The best thing about our room was the fantastic view of the lake and castle from our balcony.
Unique Quality: Good views from some rooms, a wellness center with an indoor pool complex free of charge for hotel guests. Good for kids as well, but the pool temperatures were just slightly too cool to be completely comfortable.

Hotel Golf****
Hotel Golf is surrounded by a park with big old trees and located right in the centre of Bled with a beautiful view of Lake Bled, the island, the castle and the Julian Alps.
The hotel is very spacious, it has its own parking place, it is easily accessible and there is a terrace with an outdoor swimming pool and view of the lake and the castle.
