Hotel Golf by canaglic Hotel Golf is surrounded by a park with big old trees and located right in the centre of Bled with a beautiful view of Lake Bled, the island, the castle and the Julian Alps. The hotel is very spacious, it has its own parking place, it is easily accessible and there is a terrace with an outdoor swimming pool and view of the lake and the castle. We stayed six nights at the Golf Apartments (Apartmaji Golf) in Bled, Slovenia. While it was a little shabby (3 stars), we were very satisfied. For about €80/night, we got a bedroom with two twin beds, bathroom, a living room with two beds/sofas that our children slept on, and a kitchenette well-stocked with utensils. We also had a huge balcony that looked out on the mountains and a large lawn. I suppose you could have seen the lake from the other side of the building, but you also would be facing the parking lot. Fresh towels showed up every day, but that seemed to be about the only maid service other than taking out the trash. Two quirks: one morning our showers were only lukewarm; and we had to lock the door in order to keep it shut. That meant that when I went for my run in the morning, I had to lock everybody in.
Staying at the Golf Apartments gives you free entrance to the pools in the Živa Wellness Center at the Golf Hotel. It includes two large pools on different levels, connected by a water slide that my ten year old daughter couldn't get enough of. There were waterfalls and "bubble benches," as well as a toddler pool, indoor/outdoor pool (small), and two jacuzzis. The pools were open from 0700-2100, and it was really nice to go and relax there after a day of seeing the beautiful Slovenian sights.
