Friendy family-run guesthouse close to river Sava
In March we were only passing Slovenia on our trip to Croatia but on our overnight stay in Hotel Krek we got information about beautiful town Bled (lake with island and castle) so we decided to stay over a weekend in this area next time. We booked a double room in Pension Krek, which has the same owners (family Krek). We stayed 2 days visiting Bled and the island, the castle, Vintgar gorge, lake Bohinj (some 30 minutes by car) and the Sava river valley (on our walk in the evening) which is great for hiking and fishing (very peaceful, we saw a lot of fishermen).
Unique Quality: Very peaceful, no traffic noise, close to wonderful nature of Sava river.
